Rock N Roll Heaven got on the fast track at the 65th running of the Little Brown Jug in Delaware, Ohio, winning his elim and the final in a record 1:49.2.

In two straight heats, Rock N Roll Heaven rolled over his opponents in identical win times of 1:49.2 at Delaware County Fairgrounds in Delaware, Ohio, in the 65th renewal of Standardbred pacing's top jewel, the Little Brown Jug, for three-year-old pacers.

The $604,100 Little Brown Jug, held annually on the fourth Thursday of September, featured three full elimination cards to determine the lineup for the final contest.

Driver Daniel Dube Comes Back

Rocknroll Hanover son Rock N Roll Heaven heated up in the 90 plus degree heat and blitzed to two straight heats of 1:49.2, the first time a Standardbred has raced two sub-1:50 clockings on the same day. The pacer qualified for the final in the first elim, with driver Daniel Dube.

Dube returned from a difficult racing accident in June to drive Rock N Roll Heaven to the Jug title. Fractured vertebrae and a broken right hand suffered in a June 18 accident at the Meadowlands kept Dube out of the bike for the North America Cup and the Meadowlands Pace finals, in which Rock N Roll Heaven finished fourth and second, respectively.

While Rock N Roll Heaven's connections remained faithful to Dube, their chosen replacement for Dube in the Cup and the Pace was the world's winningest driver, John Campbell.

Dube reportedly willed himself to heal in time to reconnect with Rock N Roll Heaven for the Jug. In post-race interviews, Dube said of his Jug triumph, "This is why I was in a rush to come back to racing."

One More Laugh Scratched

Facing multiple heats after finishing an unexpected third in the qualifying third elimination, One More Laugh was scratched from the final by co-owner and trainer Ray Schnittker.

Schnittker is an adamant opponent of multiple heat racing on the same day, which is the Jug's accepted format.

One More Laugh won the 2010 Meadowlands Pace in July.
